Tonight when I was driving home from work they were talking about the “Blue Dog Democrats” on the radio. I couldn’t help wonder, Who are these people?
So I went looking for them and I found this

Checked my handy-dandy ALEC list of US Congressman who are ALEC “Alumni” (educated by Koch) and only found one of them on that list. Then I did a web search to see if any of the others were ALEC members – couldn’t find anything.
Then I thought – I’ve got one more list I can look at. Awhile ago I went to http://www.congress.org/ and pulled the PAC money for 5 of the companies on ALEC’s Private Enterprise Board.
I pulled donations
from the ALEC member PAC’s
to candidates of more than $4,999,
for the three election cycles of 2005 – 2010.
My spreadsheet just with 5 companies and donations of over $4,999 is over 2000 rows long.
(I apologize – my research is incomplete, as I have not gone to the candidates page to see if they returned any of this money – someone else can do that.)
