Those that are asking the questions and are demanding that we state our demands - don't get it - they are not part of the 99% - that's why they have to ask.
I saw a couple of excellent articles this morning that are well worth the read. Sharing them for your convenience.

An EXCELLENT editorial at TruthOut.orgPlease take the time to READ it - not just skim it.
I'm sure the whole phenomenon is quite perplexing to you - really, why don't they just go home? Don't these people have jobs?
I hate to be the Irony Police, but that's pretty much the whole point. They can't, and they don't. Have homes and jobs, I mean.

From Common Dreams you ahve this excellent article by Ezra Klein.
But you look around and the reality is not everyone is suffering. Wall Street caused this mess, and the government paid off their debts and helped them rake in record profits in recent years. The top 1 percent account for 24 percent of the nation’s income and 40 percent of its wealth.

And this article by Ben Manski
The Protest Wave: Why the Political Class Can’t Understand Our Demands
So the political class, rather than ignore this wave of protests, pulls a card from the past. They know we are angry, they say. They just don’t understand what we want. We speak in too many voices. According to the American Pravda, The New York Times (which tells the professional classes their truth), we are a “hodgepodge” and “confused” movement with “unclear goals” and “nowhere to go.” Why can’t we settle on a couple key demands?

And then there is this wonderful comment ,
written in a comment thread that kind sums it all up.
Ok, let's talk about useless leaches.
What about those useless leaches who drove our financial foundations off a cliff and the middle class was handed a nice 1.2 trillion dollar bill to bail them out? THEY took all the risks, but it was US who were called upon to rescue them from the horror of their on bad decisions. Did they feel bad? Hell no. They took the money and then paid themselves lavish bonuses.
Then when the middle class asks for some help in return because their ranks are filling with unemployed and people at the end of their financial rope, the GOP, teabaggers, and idiots like YOU demonize them as lazy useless people. You do that while cheering on those Republicans who are demanding even MORE breaks for the upper class. Oh they cloak their positions in nice deceitful phrases like "tax breaks for jobs creators."
Look at what's happening on Wall St. now. Look at how those protests have spread to every major city in the union. That's the push back. That's the anarchy that results in unfairness.
Those people aren't looking for a free handout. They just gave a 1.2 trillion dollar hand out to big business and are being asked to sacrifice more by the GOP thugs with big mouths and selfish ideas. While their schools' funding are being cut, their pensions taxed, their roads disintegrating, the GOP is asking the middle class to take it in the rear some more while they continue to prop up the high class.
Why are idiots like YOU defending the lazy risk takers who found an easy way to inflate their portfolios until the bubble burst? And how does shielding them from paying the piper after having danced to the music help the nation?
The yesterday we have this quote from
HERMAN CAIN: Don’t blame Wall Street, don’t blame the big banks, if you don’t have a job and you’re not rich, blame yourself! [...] It is not someone’s fault if they succeeded, it is someone’s fault if they failed.
AND we have the Chicago traders sending a message to the protesters -CHECK IT OUT HERE.
