Your Bread Will Toast Itself

Earlier this week I posted an entry of what only 17 days of gun violence looks like in the USA.

Ever since then I have been thinking of the fallacy of the gun nuts argument and kept coming back to something I had read once on a webpage.  

IF you hold that their argument is true

Guns don't kill people
People kill people

THEN this argument must also be true

Toasters don't toast bread
Bread toasts bread

So according to the gun nuts  ... 
You can throw away your toaster
cause your bread will toast itself.

THEN this argument must also be true

Vacuum cleaners don't pick up dirt
Dirt picks up dirt

So according to the gun nuts  ... 
You can throw away your vacuum cleaner
cause your dirt will pick itself up

And so forth and so forth and so forth  ...
