Bachmann (MN-Nut Job) Promoting Fanaticism

Mixing up her extremist religious beliefs with STATE business.

Republican U.S. Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has entered into the Congressional Record an announcement of support for a National Day of Prayer and Fasting event to be held on September 11.

Joseph Farah, America’s top birther and the founder of World Net Daily, now just WND, created the event in an editorial titled, “It’s all about to hit the fan,” claiming the nation is in dire straits, and government cannot solve America’s problems — only prayer and fasting can.

Farah cites as the causes of “the nation [being] on the brink of utter disaster,” abortion, terrorism, same-sex marriage, claims of possible legalization of polygamy, not only legal but required euthanasia and death panels, one world government, a dissembling of the Second Amendment, and destruction of religion.

Farah writes that “this week I was honored to learn that Rep, Michele Bachmann has issued a statement in support of the 9/11 Day of Prayer and Fasting – a statement she entered into the Congressional Record.

Brian Tashman at Right Wing Watch notes that
“Bachmann has heartily endorsed the WorldNetDaily prayer effort to mark the anniversary of the September 11 attacks by praying against terrorism, nuclear war and homosexuality. WND editor and birther leader Joseph Farah claimed today that the day of prayer is needed to stop comprehensive immigration reform, the government’s supposed plans to stockpile weapons to ‘impose de facto firearms restrictions on citizens’ and gay rights advocates who seek to ‘make the citizenry of Sodom and Gomorrah blush.’”
Bachmann and WND have been close partners in recent years. In December, the outlet gave her its “Woman of the Year” award.
