OCCUPY Voices Arrested - Bankers/Wall Street Atrocities Ignored

I have been hearing on the radio and reading on other webpages of more and more protestors being arrested.

Being a child of the 60's and having been put in cuffs once or twice during that time I understand the passion and commitment of the people at the occupation sites.

I ran into this comment this morning while reading the updates and wanted to share it with all:

Protesters vs. cops is a diversion from the main issue: America vs. Wall Street.

It's also one of the best routes for provocateurs to stir up violence and screw the movement.

Don't get digressed and diverted.

Flexibility of tactics is strength, rigidity is weakness.

Therefore: if the hours at the park or whatever site, are e.g. 6AM to 8PM, occupy the place during those hours, then go home, rest up, plan the next day's actions, email the media & elected officials, etc., and show up again the next morning when the place is open.

As far as any casual passers-by are concerned, y'all will still be there during 100% of open hours.

And this mode of protest can be sustained forever, unlike 24/7 encampments.  Particularly as cold weather approaches: you do not want to see the protests appear to peter out because people can't sleep in the cold or are coming down with the flu or whatever.

Also if you don't have a bunch of belongings to worry about at an encampment, you're a hell of a lot more free to do noisy marches, street theatre, and so on .

Think smart - don't get stuck in a rut - thwart the provocateurs and keep America's attention on the real issues.

This comment has some excellent advice in it.

It may require renegotations with your city or your police force - but it is an option -
Keep all options open - don't quit because the first or second or third thing that was done didn't work the way that was expected.

This type of "harassment" of protestors will not stop - it is their way of trying to silence our message.
Our message must not be silenced - it must grow.

It is important to stay on focus - to occupy - - peacefully - and to keep on keeping on.

We are sick and tired of being sick and tired - Keep up the momentum.
