Last night I spent 27 minutes watching this video on the Koch brothers.
It is very good, but not a production from MSM in the United States - they would never do a documentary like this.
After I watched it I couldn’t help thinking for a minute or two – have they already won?
But that train of thinking brought me back to Koch funding of the American Legislation Exchange Council (ALEC) - the epitome of Koch's "the best government money can buy" philosophy. ALEC -- whose unpublished mission (and everything they do is unpublished) is “Creating a free market society – marketing legislators to corporations for free.”
Their vision: The best government Koch money can buy – selling legislators to corporations.
One thing sits in the back of my mind – and that is how enthralled people get with politicians – like they are supergods or something when in fact they are just ordinary people who if they are ALEC members – represent the worst of the worst in the United States. The United States media is the worst (most of the MSM are ALEC members) – they never question the stupidity that comes out of the mouths of politicians and NEVER question the absolute moronic statements made by ALEC members.
But the ALEC legislative members think they are something special.
They are so special that no one is allowed into their meetings.
They are so special that they hide their membership in ALEC.
The whole organization of ALEC brings back memories of the Klu Klux Klan.
I regress – back to the main point.
ALEC legislative members – don’t you realize what fools you are?
The corporations think you are stooges – as is evident by this comment heard at the New Orleans airport.
Mark Pocan: It was amazing. Literally I get, land in New Orleans, I get to the baggage carousel and I hear this woman behind me talking on the phone and she’s like, ‘Yeah, I’m at the American Legislative Exchange Council Meeting, you know we write legislation and people pass our ideas, it’s the free market!’ And that summed it up right there.
WE [corporations] write the legislation! People pass our ideas!.........ALEC members, you don’t even get the common courtesy of being called what you are “legislators” – or should we say corrupt legislators.
HA - HA – What fools these ALEC mortals be!! HA – HA!
The corporate representatives think you are a joke - you are a joke!
And you are probably the butt (meant literally) of every government joke at the Koch brothers get-togethers. They don’t respect you – why should they respect an ALEC legislative member – you can be bought – you have no honor – you have no power – you are nothing but a pawn for them - most of you are from the hobunk - you have no place in the Koch America. Their real allegiance lies to the billionaires that attend their retreats. At the last retreat Charles Koch told his “billionaire buddies”:
"We've had a lot of tough battles," he continued. "We've lost a lot over the years, and we've won some recently.…And I pledge to all of you who've stepped forward and are partnering with us that we are absolutely going to do our utmost to invest this money wisely and get the best possible payoff for you in the future of our country."
Hey ALEC legislative members – were you at that Koch meeting in Vail to hear this – HELL NO!, most of you were not! The Koch’s don’t get their hands dirty with crooked low level politicians like you! And in my opinion - the politicans and judges that have attended the Koch retreats should be required to submit to an audit of their off-shore bank accounts.
When Charles Koch is talking about the “best possible payoff for you”, he is talking to their billionaire buddies and Supreme Court justices, not ALEC legislative members. ALEC legislative members are the butt of after-dinner jokes – Did you hear the one about the ALEC legislator in -- something about sticking a cigar …..Oh forgot – that was at the ALEC meeting in New Orleans.
When PT Barnum said” "There's a sucker born every minute", he was talking about ALEC legislative members. People too stupid to understand that they are being duped by the upper class. The court jesters of America are the legislative members of ALEC.
mo·ron 1.Informal. a person who is notably stupid or lacking in good judgment.
From an ALEC tweet that was reported as published a couple of weeks ago
"Believe it or not: Less educated legislators do a better job."
The organization you belong to even thinks you are morons.
And then there is the guy on the video from Americans for Prosperity. They should rename that organization too, to reflect the actions of mentally challenged ALEC members who contribute to more prosperity for American wealthiest – it is not Americans FOR Prosperity – the correct name is More Prosperity FOR the Wealthiest Americans – courtesy of crooked politicians – politicians that belong to ALEC.
Charles Koch supports the best government Koch money can buy.
David Koch supports the best government Koch money can buy.
The American Legislative Exchange Council supports the best government corporate money can buy.
ALEC legislative Members support the best government corporate money can buy.
stooge - a person of unquestioning obedience
yes-man, flunkey, flunky
follower - a person who accepts the leadership of another
pushover - someone who is easily taken advantage of
2. stooge - a victim of ridicule or pranks
laughingstock, goat, butt
I prefer the word traitor - but for now - until the next time - I'll settle for
ALEC legislative members, what fools these mortals be.
