Herman Cain : Deceptive Disclosure and Lying 101 (And there's some ALEC links)

"There are a terrible lot of lies going about the world, and the worst of it is that half of them are true." Winston Churchill:

WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Republican U.S. presidential hopeful Herman Cain said Monday he was "falsely accused" of sexually harassing two women while he led a trade organization.

During an appearance at the National Press Club in Washington -- one of several occasions throughout the day on which Cain addressed the matter -- he said he was the victim of a "witch hunt."

"I have never sexually harassed anyone ... and yes, I was falsely accused while I was at the National Restaurant Association," Cain told Fox News Monday morning. "I say falsely because it turned out after the investigation to be baseless. … It is totally baseless and totally false. Never have I committed any sort of sexual harassment."

Over the past two days, Cain has admitted he knew of one agreement between the restaurant association and a woman who accused him of sexual harassment. He has said the woman initially asked for a large financial settlement but ultimately received two to three months' pay as part of a separation agreement. Cain also acknowledged remembering one of the woman's accusations against him, saying he stepped close to her to make a reference to her height, and told her she was the same height as his wife.

He has said he is not aware of agreements or settlements with any other women, though Politico -- which first disclosed the allegations -- reported that the trade group had given settlements to at least two female employees who accused him of inappropriate sexual behavior.

Washington, Nov 3 (ANI): The sexual harassment scandal surrounding American businessman and Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain has apparently deepened, as now another woman has accused him of inappropriate behavior at workplace.

The third woman alleged she received unwanted comments from Cain during his tenure as head of a restaurant lobby group, the BBC reports.

The National Restaurant Association has pledged to announce a decision Friday as to whether it will allow a former employee who accused Herman Cain of sexual harassment to release a statement detailing her side of the story, the trade group announced Thursday.

He’s a liar – he does not deserve to be even talk about being President of the United States.
He’s deceitful and a liar.

AND YES! – The National Restaurant Association is an ALEC member!
AND YES! - Herman Cain was President of the National Restaurant Association which is an ALEC member.

For more information on Herman Cain’s ties and affiliations to the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) – please refer to these stories.

In the first one it shows Herman Cain's dependence on ALEC's chief economy writer Arthur Laffer for his 9-9-9 plan and the correlation of one of his campaign issues with ALEC "model legislation".

The second one looks at his campaign issues in reference to real ALEC "model legislation".

He could tell eveyone he isn't an ALEC member - but that is probably a lie also.

And then there is this to think about...........Florida should have thought about it!  Michigan should have thought about it! Ohio should have thought about it!  New Jersey should have thought about it!

...most business people in public office cannot make the transition from thinking about short term profits and maximizing the self interests of businesses to thinking about acting in the best interests of all people, now and for future generations.  All of their decisions and actions are based on or around the concept of money and the pursuit of profit in the shortest time possible.   Concepts such as common interests, social justice, and long term economic and environmental sustainability are just not in their vocabulary.  As discussed in earlier parts of this article, their brains are not developed to think that way.
Government is about operating society, not running a business to make money.
