Is Rove's "Victory Project" His Waterloo?

Stop and think about the last election and the antics of all the CONservative PACs and nastiness of what they produced as TV ads.  Just a reminder – think of all the ads from Americans for Prosperity, Restore our Future, American Crossroads, America’s Future Fund, Crossroads GPS, or the Conservative Majority Fund.

Well – what was good for the goose is NOT good for the gander.
Do unto others – but not unto thyself.

I was raised on a farm and we raised pigs – When a sow delivered a brood of piglets you had to be in the barn to watch over it – cause she could and would eat them.

Guess the pigs in the Republican party are starting to chew on each other now.

Rove's new "Conservative Victory Project" is getting some pushback.  With Rove's new group being "the decider", there appears to be some dissension.

As noted in Roll Call:
independent group to support and give cover to pragmatic conservative candidates.
Led by a couple of well-credentialed conservatives who understand the
party’s problem, the group could prevent the Club for Growth, Rush Limbaugh
or The Heritage Foundation President Jim DeMint from deciding who is a
     conservative and who isn’t.
Shoulda, coulda, woulda
Don't like Limbaugh calling the candidate shots - boo hoo - you invented him, now live with your failures.
Be real - what really is a CONservative?

It's evident to see that the Repugs are now having a problem  - when they stop, to eat their own.
Repugs who once favored the input and interference of Rove – are now getting pissed when he turns his power - on them, against them.

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Turmoil deepened among leading Republicans over efforts to ward off controversial candidates in the next election, as Iowa Republican Gov. Terry Branstad blasted a new candidate-steering plan by Karl Rove and warned him to stay out of state and congressional races.

"I basically told Karl Rove that what he was doing is counter-productive and he needs to stay out of it," said Branstad, recounting a phone call to Rove, the leader of the new Conservative Victory Project.

The Rove-backed group is planning to raise money and run ads in primary election campaigns to help candidates seen as more attractive to general election voters.

But the targeted effort conflicts with a more diplomatic approach favored by Branstad and other mainstream Republicans wary of offending important officeholders and factions. Branstad,     was especially inflamed by indications the Rove organization would target Iowa arch-conservative Rep. Steve King if he tried to run for the state's open Senate seat in 2014.
The targeted efforts conflict with a more diplomatic approach?
Really – really – where was that diplomatic approach in the last two elections.
I didn’t hear the Repugs speaking up then.

Branstad, in an interview with the Associated Press, said Rove's plan to use fundraising and negative advertising against suspect Republicans was "a mistake."

"If some outside group that has no connection to Iowa attacks somebody from Iowa, that is not smart," Branstad said.
"If some outside group that has no connection to Iowa attacks somebody from Iowa, that is not smart,"
Really – really – where was that approach in the last two elections.
I didn’t hear Brandsted complaining about the money spent by Americans for Prosperity, Restore our Future, American Crossroads, America’s Future Fund, Crossroads GPS, or the Conservative Majority Fund – during the last elections.

I didn’t hear the Repugs speaking up then – but then what is okay to do against the Dems – is not okay to do against the REpugs.

Branstad has used private breakfasts with King and his House colleague Tom Latham to discuss who would be the strongest contender for seat,

News of Rove's plans inflamed King, prompting him to issue an angry fundraising appeal in which he declared, "Nobody can bully me out of running."

King's devout followers, among Iowa's most conservative, were incensed at the news of Rove's group..
Munch, munch, munch
I wonder if Brandsted will start complaining when Americans for Prosperity, Restore our Future, American Crossroads, America’s Future Fund, Crossroads GPS, or the Conservative Majority Fund – during the upcoming elections.

BTW – both King and Bransted are ALEC-ers
Had to throw that in – cause that’s what I was researching when I found this.
Maybe they should go whine to the Koch brothers and tell them to make Rove behave – hah!
