Mary Franson (MN) Are You an ALEC Member???

UPDATE:
February 22 - 2013
Thanks for stopping by
- please take the time to peruse some of my other "raving paranoiac" entries.
I would like to take a moment to thank BlueStem Prairie for all the hits they are shoving to my site.  The entry below is three weeks old - most people have moved on with their lives by now and this entry was dead as far as traffic was concerned - until today.
In today's missive - BlueStem Prairie states:

Recently, the anonymous raving paranoiac who blogs Because I Can accused Franson of being an ALEC member because the Alexandria lawmaker's campaign report listed a hotel expense for one night's stay at roughly the time ALEC held a three-day meeting at a different hotel convention center in DC.

Below is the blog entry BlueStem refers to.
NOWHERE do I accuse Franson of being an ALEC member.

I asked the questions:
Will Mary Franson PLEASE explain this coincidence from your campaign report in 2010.
Would someone in her district please push her on this question:
Mary Franson Are You a member of the American Legislative Exchange Council???

BlueStem contacted "Don't Feed the Animals" Franson.
Franson said she wasn''t ALEC.
Done!
Mission Accomplished.
This entry is three weeks old - people have moved on or should have, by now.

Again, thanks for stopping by
- please take the time to peruse some of my other raving paranoiac entries.
Yours truly and faithfully committed to the First Amendment,

Reported on BlueStem Prairie yesterday –

Inspired by ALEC bill?
Beard, Draz & Franson hating on MN renewable energy standards

Today, Representatives Mike Beard (R-Shakopee), Steve Drazkowski (R-Mazeppa) and Mary Franson (R-Alexandria) introduced HF306, which would abolish Minnesota's renewable energy standards.

Beard and Drazkowski are both known members of the American Legislative Exchange Council. ALEC's Energy, Environment and Agriculture Task Force adopted a resolution supporting the "Electricity Freedom Act" at the 2012 Annual Meeting on July 26, 2012; the resolution, which calls for the repeal of renewable energy standards by states that have adopted them, was approved by ALEC Board of State Legislators on October 18, 2012.

Beard, identified in 2011 as a member of ALEC's Commerce, Insurance, and Economic Development Task Force

Drazkowski, identified as a member of ALEC's Civil Justice Task force in Collins' 2011 article, has been one of the most active promoters of ALEC model bills in the Minnesota legislature. In 2010, he introduced a copycat version of Arizona's notorious anti-immigrant bill, SB1070;

As for Mary Franson, there's no evidence that she's an ALEC member, so Bluestem suspects she's along to help prop up the author of the senate version of the bill, SD8 homie Bill Ingebrigtsen (R-Alexandria).

There’s a statement that bugs the hell out of me
As for Mary Franson, there's no evidence that she's an ALEC member

Will Mary Franson PLEASE explain this coincidence from your campaign report in 2010.

Coincidence that she went to DC on 12/1  - the same day that the ALEC meeting started.

Coincidence that she went to DC on 12/1 - the same day that the annual "brainwash the new legislators" ALEC meeting started.

Coincidence that she and one other "new" Republican legislator went to DC
- and coincidence that every year ALEC gives away two "new legislators brainwashing" scholarships per state - to new legislators - to attend this specific meeting.

Yeh - I got oceanfront property to sell you in MN.
Sorry, I don't believe in coincidences when it comes to ALEC stuff.

Would someone in her district please push her on this question:
Mary Franson Are You a member of the American Legislative Exchange Council???

AND
if she is  ....

Will she publicly admit that she belongs to the ultra-conservative, extremist, right-wing American Legislative Exchange Council?
