Republicans - the US SS

Listening to the Ed Schultz show
Caller after caller going nuts about the Saturday closure of the Post offices, starting in August.

Ed has been on this story for over a year - liberal bloggers, including myself, have been on this sotry for over a year.  We talked, we wrote - many did nothing but read or listen.

The post-office was required to pre-finance - pre-finance, pay in advance -  worker benefits and retirement - 75 years into the future - 75 years into the future - and that was the downfall that caused this to happen and it was done - intentionally, on purpose, with malice - by the Republicans

People listening to the stories about it - reading the stories about it - and choosing to do nothing caused this to happen.

And don't kid yourself folks - this is not the end of it!

Privatization of government goods and services
    Destruction of unions
The Republican mantra

Remember this when as you sit by and let the Republicans have their way - while you sit on your butt and do nothing:

First they came for the communists,
    and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the socialists,
    and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
    and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

    Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me.

” is a famous statement attributed to pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the inactivity of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power and the purging of their chosen targets, group after group.

The Republicans are just moving the verses around.
