I do not think that state legislatures should be sticking their noses into this.
I do not think that it is necessary for state legislators to further humiliate women at a stressful time.
BUT - - - - - I didn't truly picture what this meant.
Well ...................
Then I ran into an actual picture - of the probing, penetrating transvaginal ultrasounddevice
I just knew it was much more than just - wrong.
The Republicans putting forth this legislation are - - sick - - sick degenerates. There's something terribly wrong with them - how can they even talk about this in the chambers - and they seem to be spending a great deal of time thinking and talking abou this. SICK!!!
When I went to an article on Talking Points Memo to read more about how Indiana state legislators are intentionally trying to humiliate women through the ultrasound vaginal inspection - I ran into the picture below.
My first thought -
Every legislator who is supporting the use of transvaginal ultrasound
Should have a rectal exam done this piece of medical equipment
Talking Points Memo |
AND VOLUNTEERING FOR THE FIRST RECTAL EXAM IS:
The full bill’s sponsor, state Sen. Travis Holdman (R),
didn’t object to removing the requirement for the second ultrasound. Still, he
stood firm in his belief that the same type of political interference into
women’s medical decisions is “essential” before the administration of the
abortion pill.
VOLUNTEER #2 from WISCONSIN
VOLUNTEER #2 from WISCONSIN
Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI) declined to take a position last week
during a town hall meeting on whether transvaginal ultrasounds should be
mandatory for women seeking abortions, saying he has never heard of the
practice and couldn’t weigh in on it because “I haven’t had one.”
Ultrasound requirements are a top priority for anti-abortion
advocates in Wisconsin
and other states.
