Oliverio (D) - WV 1st CD Candidate - is an ALEC Snake in the Grass

Just because a candidate has a BIG (D) behind their name - does not make them the best candidate for you to vote for.


Case in point  - West Virginia  1st Congressional District.

Oliverio is a conservative Democrat. He opposes abortion and gay marriage. He also used to be a state chairman for the American Legislative Exchange Council, which advocates for "free markets, limited government, federalism and individual liberty."

Oliverio is an American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) snake in the grass - who will represent the ALEC Corporate Private Sector members at the expense of the citizens of West Virginia.

He doesn't care about public service - or the public.  He believes in ALEC corporations and privatization of government and deregulation of every industry and busting up unions so they don't have the money to campaign for the Democratic party.

He didn't make it to State Chair unless he has gotten drunk on the ALEC cooleade

HE WAS THE ALEC STATE CHAIR - don't forget that!!!!!

Please primary a REAL Democrat against his guy and bring out his ALEC philosophy, ALEC party platform, and ALEC corporate constiuents and make sure he DOES NOT GET ELECTED to office.


Vote for a candidate if they are willing to sign a pledge stating

• That neither they nor any member of their staff currently belong to and will ever belong to ALEC.  
• That at no time during their time as a public servant will they attend any meeting held by the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). 
• And at no time during their time as a public servant will they introduce, author or co-author any legislation produced by ALEC. 
• And as a public servant they will represent the people and will hold strong against any legislation introduced that is ALEC “model legislation” - legislation which favors corporations that belong to ALEC and has no redeeming properties in its entirety for the public and are detrimental to the citizens of West Virginia.
