ALEC – The Rootkit of the US CONGRESS

My Emphasis throughout.

Anyone who has followed me at all is aware of my passion that we
MUST NOT elect or re-elect ALEC members
To the state and federal governments.

Today’s entry is another reason why
WE MUST
WE MUST
make sure that ALEC members are not elected, appointed or re-elected to any position to serve the public.

ALEC Finds New Friends
Republican Study Committee a Quiet New Partner
    By Janie Lorber

    Sept. 11, 2012, Midnight
The Republican Study Committee islaying the groundwork for a new informal partnership with the American Legislative Exchange Council, even as dozens of major corporations cut ties with the conservative nonprofit for its support of controversial voting and gun laws.

The RSC is working quietly with ALEC to host a gathering next Friday at the Heritage Foundation in hopes of establishing an ongoing relationship with the group that would allow federal lawmakers to exchange ideas with state legislators.
Is anyone planning on doing an action against this is DC????

"It is really telling," said Rashad Robinson, the executive director of Color of Change. "As major corporations disassociate themselves with this organization because it is so outside the mainstream, that Republicans are rushing to them."
“Telling”
That’s a unique choice of words – but then when you are being interviewed I’m sure sometimes the correct word isn’t immediately there –

The correct phrase
“This is really terrifying for the American people”
“The Republicans are openly associating themselves with a right-wing extremist legislative-terrorist group, The American Legislative Exchange Council – an organization that is funded by corporations, openly challenges the democratic, representative government principles of the United States, promotes fascist principles and operates outside acceptable political boundaries.”

But then “suits” can’t say that out loud.

Paul Teller, the executive director of the RSC, embraced the nonprofit and said the RSC has long supported the group's agenda.

"Frankly, this gathering is long overdue," he said in a statement. "As Washington encroaches more and more into state and local spheres, it's important that conservative legislators at the federal and state levels collaborate on policies to stop and roll back the ever-expanding federal government."

Members of the RSC hope that next week's powwow will serve as a test run for future meetings and, potentially, an unofficial partnership that would allow its 169 members to build support for their polices at the local level, a senior GOP aide told Roll Call.

Recent legislative proposals on Capitol Hill have focused on rolling back federal involvement in states, such as efforts to replace Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program with block grants and to allow states to opt out of the federal highway and mass transit programs. Those positions are very much in line with ALEC's efforts to empower states.

House ethics rules prohibit lawmakers from jointly sponsoring meetings or other events with any private group, including nonprofits, and the RSC logo does not appear on an official invitation to the Members-only event, which is slated to start at 3 p.m. on Friday and run through dinner, according to the invitation.

Next week's event falls just before Members of Congress return to their districts for the final weeks of campaigning  - "baby steps to start," the GOP aide said.

"baby steps to start," the GOP aide said.
Baby steps to fascism.

And the reporting didn’t stop there - - - - - - - -
After a long flirtation, the GOP and ALEC are taking steps toward making their relationship official. ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council,
The missing phrase here is the US CONGREE IS TAKING STEPS TO MAKE THEIR RELATIONSHIP OFFICIAL.

The RSC has been working quietly with ALEC to host an event with federal and state lawmakers at the conservative Heritage Foundation on Friday. Paul Teller, the executive director of the RSC, was happy to embrace the ALEC. “Frankly, this gathering is long overdue …
Working behind the scenes
Working outside the public eye
Working in secrecy
“secrecy”, so common to terroristic groups like the American Legislative Exchange Council, hell-bent on the wholesale destruction of our democratic representative government.
I would be “working quietly” also if I was associating with an extremist group that was openly attempting to destroy the US democratic representative government.

RSC Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan, a Republican from Ohio, is a member of ALEC, along with several dozen other Republican congressmen. ALEC has only a single Democratic member from the U.S. House, Rep. Dan Boren of Oklahoma. Jordan’s campaign paid dues of $100 to ALEC in 2001 and 2011, and possibly other years, according to documents leaked to a group called ALEC Exposed. A handful of GOP senators, including Marco Rubio and Jim DeMint, are also members, along with Democrat Joe Manchin of West Virginia. While many ALEC events serve as a forum for corporate representatives to meet with lawmakers, there will be no corporations represented at Friday’s event, which will feature at least six federal and 18 state lawmakers.
There are the names of four people WHO SHOULD NOT BE RE-ELECTED,

And this connection to the US Congress
- has been on-going at ALEC for many years.

PR Watch – gives you a historical look at this new “openness” that further explains the history of ALEC in the halls of the US Congress and how all this is connected to the man who said:
“I don’t want everybody to vote” and “Our leverage in the elections goes up as the voting populace goes down.”

A snip to from PR Watch to get your interest:
Three right-wing organizations founded nearly forty years ago by conservative activist Paul Weyrich are rediscovering their shared origins. The Republican Study Committee, a caucus of 169 right-wing Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives, is establishing a partnership with the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), the controversial "corporate bill mill" for state legislators, and their first meeting is scheduled at the Heritage Foundation headquarters. Each of those three organizations -- the RSC, ALEC, and the Heritage Foundation -- were founded in 1973 by Weyrich.

Snips to get your interest
ALEC Federal Forum has been published by the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) as part of its mission to discuss, develop and disseminate public policies which expand free markets, promote economic growth, limit government and preserve individual liberty. ALEC is the nation’s largest bipartisan, individual membership organization of state legislators, with 2,400 members across the nation. ALEC is governed by a 21-member Board of Directors of state legislators, which is advised by a 20-member Private Enterprise Board representing major corporate and foundation sponsors.

Due to the success of ALEC legislative leaders in the states, their careers are expanding beyond the state legislature. ALEC has developed a program for its alumni members: the ALEC Federal Forum. The focus of the Federal Forum is to build a productive bipartisan working relationship among current and former ALEC members at all levels of government. Serving as Federal Forum Co-Chairmen, Senator George Allen and Congressman Mark Green continue their dedication to ALEC’s mission at the federal level.
Limit Government – NOT limited government
“Preserve individual Liberty” - does NOT mean YOU –  trust me

ALEC is the nation’s largest bipartisan, individual membership organization of state legislators,

This meeting is like getting a rootkit virus on your computer.
ALEC will log every keystroke of what is happening in Congress.
They will data mine every piece of information that they can.
Then they will open the backdoor and let their other viral corporate partners into the process and

Eventually
The US Congress will go blue screen
The people will not be able to connect with their government
The US democratic representative government will crash.
All because of ALEC’s, now open, interference at the Federal level.

We are at a critical point here folks –
YOU are the only anti-viral program.
This is not tinfoil hat stuff.
This is not a minor threat to our nation’s democratic representative government.
THIS is a major threat to our government, as we know it, and unless we step forward now to stop ALEC
– tomorrow may be too late.

A section if the US Congress has openly stated to Americthrough this meeting with ALEC
“Frankly, this gathering is long overdue
Be very afraid people of the United States – be very afraid!!!

(Been offline for awhile – cause those bastards associated with  ALEC thought they could silence me
– all they did was piss me off more
– I am going to focus on nailing their fascist a$$es to the wall – until the day I die.

It’s interesting to me – how these ALEC a$$holes – refuse to argue their worth to society in an open forum, against knowledgeable opponents - cause they know there is none.  YET, hey slither around in the shadows – hiding their insidious behavior from the general public and then they whimper and cry – “Our sky is falling, our sky is falling” if any one dares to question their treacherous and possible treasonous - definitely sedition –legislative terrorist activity.)
