(My emphasis throughout)
I wanted to show you a few snips – that will hopefully provide
you with an example of the on-going anti-climate right-wing extremist agenda
that is disseminated at ALEC meetings.
Based on this information – it is not hard to understand why
ALEC legislators come back from these meetings with stinking thinking that is
based on right-wing extremist propaganda.
First a little recap of the purpose of one of their
meetings.
Spring Task Force Summit
The
Summit is an
intensive three-day meeting of ALEC’s task force members, designed to keep
members abreast of new developments in the states, and includes Task Force meetings,
hearings on pressing issues, and plenary meal sessions with policy discussions
and presentations. Only sitting Task Force members attend these meetings with
the goal of setting the Task Force agenda for the upcoming year.
The goal of setting the agenda for the upcoming year.
When you think about that – and then consider that anti-climate
education is an on-going part of that ALEC “education”, it's nasty.
Types of things they learn at the Spring Task Force Summit
2002 ALEC Annual Report
During
the Task Force Summit, ALEC released a major report, “Global Warming and the
Kyoto Protocol: Paper Tiger, Economic Dragon.” The report, written by Patrick J.
Michaels, is critical of exaggerated global warming arguments and exposes “the
economic and scientific poverty of the Kyoto Protocol on global warming.”
And then even more speakers about the topic:
Inside ALEC April

ALEC’s
2009 Spring Task Force Summit,
State
legislators will also share their knowledge and experiences with one another
and hear from nati onal leaders and renowned policy experts. Speakers include: U.S.
Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN); Governor Haley Barbour (MS); Kimball Rasmussen,
CEO of Deseret Power; and Phelim McAleer
and Ann McElhinney, producers of the film “Not Evil, Just Wrong.”
On-going anti-climate misinformation that your ALEC legislators
accepts as truth.
Let’s take a little closer look at the guest speakers at the
ALEC’s 2009 Spring Task Force Summit
Phelim McAleer and
Ann McElhinney, producers of the film “Not Evil, Just Wrong.”.
Global
warming alarmists want Americans to believe that humans are killing the planet.
But Not Evil Just Wrong, a new documentary by Phelim McAleer and Ann
McElhinney, proves that the only threats to America (and the rest of the world)
are the flawed science and sky-is-falling rhetoric of Al Gore and his allies in
environmental extremism.
Not
Evil Just Wrong exposes the deceptions about global warming that scientists,
politicians, educators and the media have been force-feeding the public for
years, including fear-mongering about floods and dying polar bears.
From the Redstate archives you have these glowing snips about Not 'Evil'
-- Just 'Wrong'

Jeff Emanuel Posted in AGW | Energy | radical environmentalists —
"A
lot of environmental activists still have not come to accept that the humans
are also part of the environment."
… and the havoc
that the fanatics fighting to take control of this issue will wreak on the
world's population and economy if they are allowed to have their way.
"Not
Evil Just Wrong" is, according to its web site, "a feature-length
documentary which shows how extreme
environmentalism is damaging the lives of vulnerable people from the ban on
DDT to the campaigns on global warming."
It
sounds like a worthy message to be spreading.
Well – that is debatable
Especially if you are an environmental activist – fanatic –
trying to damage the lives of vulnerable people.
And they took it on the road to all the extremist right-wing
organizations:
Not
Evil Just Wrong is a 2009 documentary film by Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer
that challenges Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth …
Despite
earlier screenings at conservative
political conferences, filmmakers promoted a "premiere" on
October 18, 2009.[4]

Last
night Heritage hosted the world premiere of “Not Evil Just Wrong,” a
feature-length documentary that reveals
the true cost of global warming hysteria. The film was broadcast live on
Ustream.tv.
Following last night’s screening at
Heritage, Andrew Breitbart moderated a panel featuring Richard Lindzen, a professor of meteorology at MIT; Donald
Roberts, professor emeritus of tropical health in the Department of Preventive
Medicine and Biometrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health
Sciences; and John Fund, an author and columnist at the Wall Street Journal.
And they promoted it at the ALEC Annual Meeting in Atlanta in 2009 as shown
here in a recap of a non-legislative member – aka staffer – who attended the
ALEC meeting in a “representative capacity.
Not only does it highlight the anti-climate agenda, but it also gives
you a little insight into what else goes on at the meeting and the skewed
perspective of the agenda.
As
Chairman of the House Science & Technology Committee and member of the
Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications Committee, I have been appointed by
the Speaker of the House to committees of two national organizations: The Natural Resources Committee of the
American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) and the Agriculture and Energy
Committee of the National Council of State Legislatures (NCSL).
ALEC
met in Atlanta
July 14-17, and the meetings I attended focused on the economy and the issues
of health care, global warming, cap and trade, and school choice. Most of the attendees were moderate to
conservative, and the discussions
reflected a fear of what the current
administration's policies will do to the economy. They
were especially concerned with the huge new federal debt being created and what amounts to increased taxes on power companies.
With
respect to global warming, one of the presenters provided NASA satellite data showing that arctic ice grew in 2008 and is growing more in 2009. This was followed by a documentary, "Not Evil Just
Wrong,” which examines the devastating economic consequences of the
global warming hysteria. The film also
highlights the tragic consequences of the ban on DDT which resulted in millions
of African children dying of malaria.

I wonder if he got a “scholarship (which according to the
by-laws of ALEC are reserved for legislators)
And that is the type of extremist right-wing climate
education that YOUR ALEC legislator gets at ALEC meetings!!!!
