You find the strangest things sometimes.
This time an article at Think Progress. Please take the time to read the snips below – cause it is ridiculously absurd at the same time that it is so very sad for all bright, above-average Americans.
Climate Progress

Senator James Inhofe (R-OK), the lead Republican on the Senate Committee on
Environment and Public Works, held a climate-denial press conference at the UN
Framework Convention on Climate Change on Thursday. Accompanying Inhofe were
two rather questionable characters: an activist who believes the UN is starting
the apocalypse and a British Lord who was banned from all UN climate
conferences for impersonating the representative from Myanmar.
Inhofe’s first guest, Cathie Adams, is the President of the
Texas Eagle Forum and former Texas GOP chair. She must have felt quite
uncomfortable speaking at a United Nations function, as she has maintained for
over a decade that the UN was the anti-Christ’s vehicle for stealthily taking
over the world. From a 1999 newsletter:
Inhofe’s other guest, Lord Christopher Monckton, has a storied
history of making things up, especially with respect to climate science. … got
him ejected from the nation of Qatar
and banned from every future UN climate summit.
One might think this clown show would
embarrass the Senator, but his record suggests otherwise:

Well – when you think about that last sentence – it should
give you a pretty good idea about what YOUR ALEC legislator is learning at ALEC
meetings. The climate education at ALEC meetings is a climate denial clown show.
Where do you think Inhofe learned and developed all his climate denial wisdom and repertoire - probably at ALEC meetings.
Inhofe – ALEC Alumni
And currently an advisor to the Natural Resources Task Force
which is a subcommittee of the ALEC Energy, Environment and Agriculture Task
Force
And the other guest:
Inhofe’s other guest, Lord
Christopher Monckton, has a storied history of making things up, especially
with respect to climate science
a British Lord who was banned from
all UN climate conferences for impersonating the representative from Myanmar.
Ohhhhhhhh, myyyyyyyyyy
Well – he has a history of SPEAKING at ALEC meetings.
Inside ALEC | Sept./Oct. 2009
The inauguration of ALEC’s
International Relations Task Force (IRTF) took place on July 17, at ALEC’s 36th
Annual Meeting, held in Atlanta,
Georgia.
Speakers included the United
Kingdom’s Lord Christopher Monckton, Third
Viscount Monckton of Brenchley and Daniel Hannan, Member of European Parliament
(MEP). Additionally, those in attendance were introduced to the IRTF public and
private sector co-chairs, Sen. William Hewes, III (MS) and David Powers of Reynolds
American, Inc.
My closing questions are
Were Inhofe and Adams REPRESENTING the
USA
in some format?
Isn’t there a way that we can stop
these right-wing extremists from presenting in public and making a fool of the USA
around the world?
Are you OKAY – with your ALEC
legislators being indoctrinated with the right-wing extremist climate denial agenda
of the American Legislative Exchange Council?
Are you – really?
Think about it – cause your life and the lives of your children
and grandchildren, could depend on it –
literally.
