Don't Negotiate with Republican Terrorists

Out of Maryland yesterday in an opinion piece.
In its entirety – cause it’s just that good.

It is time for the American middle class and poor to step up and remind you that the United States does not negotiate with terrorists. You have demonstrated over the past 20 years that you have a complete disrespect for the American people.

You have been bought off by banks and financial institutions to the point we almost had a depression; you caused the country to have its credit rating reduced. You refuse to address gun violence to the point that we have over 11,000 people a year killed in America – more than in the Iraq and Afghan wars combined; the Second Amendment does not prevail over Americans’ right to life. You claim to be Christians to the point you try to legislate American morality and neither the Constitution nor the Bible gives you the authority to do this. God is our judge not the Republican Party.

During President Obama’s first term the Republicans’ single goal was to remove him from office. Because of this and your refusal to work with him millions of people in this country suffered from loss of jobs and homes and continue to do so. Because of your personal greed and avarice, your willingness to be bought off by lobbyists and organizations like the American Legislative Exchange Council, the NRA, the oil industry and individuals such as Karl Rove, Grover Norquist, the Koch brothers and Sheldon Adelson and your vote to support them, you have effectively become terrorists in our country.

Mr. President, stand your ground; the United States does not negotiate with terrorists.

YEP!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again,
ALEC legislative members are – legislative terrorists.
