And sure enough, there at the very end of the article was this paragraph.
Notably, PhRMA also made a contribution of $356,075 for general support to the American Legislative Exchange Council’s “Scholarship Fund,” a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that received intense media scrutiny last year for creating corporate-backed “model legislation” for ALEC’s state lawmaker- members to introduce in statehouses.
What??????
"nonproft that recieved intense media scrutiny last year"
What???????????
Think about the title of this article folks,
"nonproft that recieved intense media scrutiny last year"
What???????????
Think about the title of this article folks,
Drug lobby gave $9.4 million to nonprofits that spent big on 2010 election
And then re-read the last paragraph of the article as noted above.
$356,075.
What a special price. A bargain basement price.
What a deal on destroying democracy in the US.

I wish I had $356,075 to provide general support to ALEC
- so I could buy myself a couple of legislators
- to pass legislation that I helped them write.
- to pass legislation that I helped them write.
Pro-citizens legislation as opposed to pro-business legislation.
But then - I suppose it takes more than $356,075.
I kinda think there's probably a lot more money than that - passing hands
- under the table and into off-shore bank accounts.
- it probably costs much more than $356,075
- to destroy the US democracy.
And then again for PhRMA - $356.075 is probably just a drop in the bucket - to buy legislators and legislation.
Oh - by the way - looks like we have to make sure ALEC is the
"nonproft that received intense media scrutiny this year "
Good luck to all who are particpating in F29.

MUST NOT BE RE-ELECTED or receive our support in any means or manner!
Without state and federal legislators ALEC will cease to exist and it will implode.
