MN ALEC Voter ID to Disenfranchise Rural Voters

(This is my fourth post on the ALEC MN Voter ID issue - Please see my February history for other posts.)
From a report released by the Minneapolis League of Women Voters the following items.
4. Absentee voters. Requiring a photo ID would do away with voters’ ability to vote absentee from a distant location, such as military personnel overseas. If an exception is made for absentee voters, the photo ID requirement is meaningless and people who vote in person at the election booth have to meet a stricter standard than absentee voters.

5. Mail-in precincts. In Minnesota, there are over 500 precincts in rural or remote areas where all the voters mail-in their ballots — about 45,000 people are registered to vote this way. A photo ID law would force them to vote at a polling location. This additional polling location will be an added expense to local governments.
Does your state have “snow-birds” – well they would be adversely by any state Voter ID law.

If your state also has mail in rural precincts – which are rural and I would assume a large percentage of elderly and socio=economic challenged ( we don’t have too many rich farmers in Minnesota) – then they would be adversely affected by this.

If you are a MInnesotan and you have relatives who live up North - their ability to be able to vote will be compromised.
If you are a Minnesota who goes south in the winter - you ability to vote will be compromised.

WHY?  Because ALEC does not want you to vote!

The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), intentionally reducing the voting population – becausetheycan.

Don’t ever forget this!!!!!  From the Founder of ALEC.

ALEC members and those affiliated with ALEC in any manner
MUST NOT BE RE-ELECTED or receive our support in any means or manner!

Without state and federal legislators ALEC will cease to exist and it will implode.
