Monsanto Fails in Europe

Great article on Truthout today
I envy the citizens of Europe.

But now it [Monsanto] threw in the towel in Europe – where its genetically modified seeds have faced stiff resistance at every twist and turn. Even its deep corporate pockets and mastery of lobbying have failed: “It’s counterproductive to fight against windmills,” its spokesman told the Tageszeitung.

“We won’t lobby any longer for cultivation in Europe,” Brandon Mitchener, Monsanto’s public affairs lead for Europe, told the Tageszeitung.

Monsanto’s largest European competitors – Bayer CropScience, BASF, and Syngenta – had already pulled out of the GMO crop business in Germany and many other Member States

It's too bad - that all these companies own US legislators.
If the US legislators weren't owned by big business - maybe we might have a quicker success against GMO's.

Mitchener blamed it on the lack of interest from farmers.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
probably not just that!!!
GMO pollution threatens every farm field it is close to.

Evidently – it has nothing to do with the public uprisings against GMO’s.

The article reminds us what Monsanto
has told us in the past
     Monsanto’s DDT was harmless
     Monsanto’s agent orange was harmless
     Monsanto’s saccharine was harmless

Trust me - the cancer and othe health risk are in the mail.

Evidently – it's just lack of interest from farmers
it has nothing to do with the public uprisings against GMO’s.
Cause remember,  Monsanto tells us that GMO’s are harmless..
